David B. Crane, founder and CEO

David is an entrepreneur and business manager with 20 years of success founding and growing businesses, starting and managing five companies and raising millions of dollars in new venture funding. Prior to founding IntelAccount, David founded Buying Pros, Inc., a Web-based procurement outsourcing service for small and mid-sized businesses that led directly to the development of IntelAccount.

In 1997 David founded The Webstore, Inc., a developer of private label e-commerce pharmacy systems for the healthcare industry. Heart-to-Heart Entertainment Corporation produced a profitable, award-winning cable television talk show. David’s first company, Telecom Support Systems, Inc. was established in 1991. The company provided payment services to telecommunications, direct marketing and information services companies, processing over $60 million in customer receivables annually. It was sold in 1993 with an ROI to investors of 50:1. In 1988, David participated in the restructuring and turnaround of Card*Tel, Inc., a publicly traded transaction processing company serving the telecommunications industry.

David is a mentor in the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management mentoring program for undergraduate business students and a frequent guest speaker in both the undergraduate and MBA programs. He has also been a guest speaker at Columbia University School of Business, Executive MBA Program. David has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Family Networks, a nonprofit organization providing therapy-based services to young people with behavioral problems and their families. He is also a volunteer business consultant with the Citizen’s Development Corps in Washington, D.C. and has been a consultant to companies in Guatemala and the Ukraine. David has been a regular “in-class” volunteer with Junior Achievement for the last 20 years. As a result of his business achievements and community involvement, David was awarded the 2002 Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40 Award … as one of forty people under 40 years of age who are making a difference in their professions, the local business community and the community at large.”

In September 2006, nine months after beginning operations, IntelAccount was selected as one of five finalists (and the only service company finalist) out of more than 650 companies in the Minnesota Cup Business Competition supported by Governor Tim Pawlenty and sponsored by the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and Wells Fargo Bank. In June 2007 IntelAccount was selected as one of three companies to compete in the Upsize Growth Challenge.

David earned his Bachelor of Science in Business degree and his MBA with honors from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society recognizing outstanding MBA scholastic achievement.

Jonathan E. Blood, Vice President, Business Development

Jon brings more than 14 years of top-level industry sales experience to his position, along with a strong track record of developing new vertical market opportunities and product applications.

Prior to joining IntelAccount, Jon was vice president, sales and business development for a back-office outsourcing company providing accounts payable and receivables finance and billing applications. In this capacity he was responsible for key account development and management, as well as strategic market development, pricing, compensation and new product development initiatives.

As vice president of sales and marketing for a company operating in the cable and communications market segment, he was instrumental in early company sales, strategic planning, vendor alliances and product and service portfolio development. During his tenure, the company became the third largest billing provider in the cable industry. Jon also served as a sales executive with a division of First Data Corporation, IKON Corporation, and AT&T Wireless Services during the infancy of the wireless segment.
